Why aren’t my Saab windshield wipers working?

I drive a Saab 9-3, and just this past weekend we had really heavy rain, during which my windshield wipers just up and quit working on me. Why aren’t my Saab windshield wipers working?

Sorry to hear that! If your Saab windshield wipers aren’t working, you’ll need to check a few things before you can figure out what the actual problem is, namely the fuse/relay and the windshield wiper motor.
In most cases, the problem will be with the motor, but it pays to check the fuse beforehand. You should be able to locate the windshield wiper fuse via the diagram on the fusebox or in your owner’s manual. The fuse may have blown, in which case, you’ll just need to replace it.
If you aren’t dealing with a blown fuse or interrupted relay, the windshield wiper motor has probably given out, in which case you’ll need to buy and install a new one.
Hope this helps!
