Why are State Farm's rates so expensive compared to Allstate?
I got a quote from Allstate that is half of what I'm currently paying with State Farm. How is this possible?

Insurance companies look at a multitude of factors when determining a price for a customer. This can include age, location, credit score (in some states), driving record, and even reports from prior insurance carriers.
Each carrier rates these factors differently, which is why rates vary from carrier to carrier, and why your State Farm rate might be more expensive than your Allstate quote. Insurance isn’t one size fits all, so there’s a lot that can impact your rate!
