Why are State Farm's rates so expensive compared to Allstate?
I got a quote from Allstate that is half of what I'm currently paying with State Farm. How is this possible?

“Insurance companies look at a multitude of factors when determining a price for an insured. This can include age, location, credit score (in some states), driving record, and even reports from prior insurance carriers.
Each carrier rates these factors differently, which is why rates vary from carrier to carrier. Insurance isn’t one size fits all, so there’s a lot that can impact your rate!
If you feel your current insurance carrier is too expensive, you can switch to another provider. But don’t just limit yourself to Allstate—get car insurance quotes online from multiple carriers. By doing so, you can see what the cheapest rate for you will be.
If you’d rather leave the hard work of gathering quotes to someone else, use Jerry. This free app can collect quotes from up to 45 top insurance companies in seconds!
