Who will get a tow to me faster, AAA or my insurance carrier?

Who is more likely to respond to me faster, GEICO or AAA? I have had a AAA membership for the past three years and haven't needed to use it yet. GEICO has a towing plan they can add to my policy for a much lower price than what I currently pay. My main concern is the response time in the event I do need to use the tow.

“That is a great question!
One of the main differences between
GEICO
and AAA is that GEICO has a contract with tow truck companies in your area.
In contrast, AAA has both contract workers and their own tow trucks. This can impact response time.
Other factors that can impact response time are:
  • weather
  • traffic
  • time and day of the week
Snowy and rainy days will have a slower response time than a clear, bright Saturday morning.
GEICO’s
towing and labor
response time is going to be around 46 minutes.
While independent towing companies have a lower wait time in general,
AAA
is the lowest, with an average of 36 minutes.”
