Who sells renters insurance in Florida?

I’m looking for a renters insurance policy. I know there are nationally-recognized companies and smaller ones, but I’m not sure who’s legit. Who sells renters insurance in Florida?

You’re wise to be so discerning. Major companies like Allstate and Progressive sell renters insurance in Florida, but so do smaller companies like Security First and UPC.
Before you pick a company, you need to figure out what’s important to you when it comes to insurance. Most people want a low price, good customer service, and coverage for likely risks.
All of the companies listed above are legit but they excel in different areas.
For instance,
UPC
specializes in good rates for renters who live in coastal areas. However, their customer service ratings aren’t very impressive and rates go up if you live further inland.
Allstate
offers a ton of discounts and 24/7 customer service, but Florida residents have to go through an agent to get a renters policy.
Don’t reject a company just because you’ve never heard of it. Research where they rank on A.M. Best and
J.D. Power
, and then look up some of their customer reviews online.
When you’re ready to think about rates, use a comparison app like
Jerry
to get a quote quickly. A good
renters insurance
policy is easy to find with Jerry’s help. Jerry unlocks savings, helps you figure out what coverage you need, and you can even sign up for a policy inside the app.
Hope this is helpful!
