Who makes the most electric cars?

I know Tesla is very popular, but are they really that big of a deal worldwide? Who makes the most electric cars?

This is an interesting question! As it has been for a long time now,
Tesla
 makes and sells the most electric cars.
That’s because Tesla absolutely dominates other car companies in terms of sales. They make up around 39% of the EV market.
Tesla isn’t called an EV giant for nothing! They delivered 936,172 vehicles in 2021. Of course, all of them are electric cars.
The Model 3 is the best-selling EV in the world.
The second best-selling company is SAIC Motor, which is the most popular in China. Volkswagen Group is the third best-selling, attempting to catch up.
Truth is, EVs had a year
full of struggles
 in 2021. A big challenge they faced was the chip shortages. But they’ve come through into 2022, and it seems like they’re here to stay.
Many car companies are converting to electric cars by the 2030s. There are sure to be many technological upgrades as more electric cars are created!
