Who do I call when my car breaks down?

If my car needs a tow, who would I call? I don't currently have any type of roadside assistance or AAA membership.

Answer
Towing and lockout service is optional coverage and it isn’t for everyone.
If you are handy and know some basic car mechanics like changing a flat tire or jump-starting your car, you might not feel the need to pay for a service you will rarely use. There are many other avenues to use if the day comes when you need a tow.
There are roadside assistance apps like Urgently and HONK. Urgent.ly is often referred to as the “Uber of towing” and is a pay-on-demand tow service.
AAA will allow a customer to purchase a membership and request a tow on the same phone call.
Some credit cards and cell phone carriers also have free towing as an added benefit.
If all else fails, you can always contact your local tow company directly for assistance.”
