Which way do I install a fuel filter?

DIY fuel filter replacement is a great way to save money, but the process can be tricky. If you’re wondering which way to install a fuel filter, locate the arrow stamped on the replacement. The arrow indicates which way the fuel flows through the fuel filter.
If there’s no arrow stamped on the replacement filter, you can determine which way to install the new fuel filter by looking at the placement of the old one. Simply install the new one in the same position as the old one.
