Which is the GMC Sierra’s top trim level?
I’m interested in buying a GMC Sierra, but these trims are confusing. What’s the GMC Sierra’s top trim level? I’ve heard of the GMC Sierra Denali trim, but I can’t find it on GMC’s website?

The
GMC Sierra’s
top trim level is the Denali Ultimate trim, which is only available with the crew cab, short box configuration. If you prefer off roading capability over comfort and luxury, the AT4X trim is definitely the option for you.The GMC Sierra has five cab and box configurations to choose from, and each has its own top trim level, so let’s start there. Here are the five configuration options and what the top trim level is for each:
- Regular cab, regular box: One row of seating and a 79.44” box. There’s only one trim level here, the Pro trim.
- Regular cab, long box: A longer 98.2” box for hauling more cargo. This trim also comes with just one trim level, the Pro trim. But you get to choose now between the 2.7-liter engine and the 5.3-liter V8.
- Double cab, regular box: This configuration can seat four to six people by adding a second row of seating. There are also three trims to choose from. The Elevation trim is the best available in this configuration, and has five different powertrains to choose from too.
- Crew cab, short box: Strangely, this option has the shortest box at 69.92”, but also the highest trim level of any configuration, the Denali Ultimate. The extreme offroading AT4X trim is also only available with this configuration.
- Crew cab, standard box: This configuration has six trims available, the best of which is the Denali trim (not to be confused with the Denali Ultimate trim, which is a step down from the last configuration).
