Where should I park my car to keep it cool?

I live in a place where summers can get really warm, and while I don't have a garage, I want to keep my car cool so the steering wheel doesn't melt my fingers. Are there any specific places I should park my car to keep it cool?

“That’s a great question, especially since driving in a too-hot car can be very unsafe! To keep your car cool, park it in a covered area or a carport since you don’t have a garage.
If that isn’t an option, you can also use a car cover and a sunshade to block out the heat.
Contrary to popular belief, avoid parking your car under a tree, even if it’s cool. Trees can have falling limbs and other debris that can damage your car. Even if you have
comprehensive coverage
, you’ll still have to pay a deductible in the event of damage, so it’s best to avoid trees altogether.
If parking under trees is unavoidable in your neighborhood, consider adding comprehensive coverage to your car insurance policy, or switch to a new policy. Check out the

Good luck, and stay cool this summer!”
