Where is the Volvo XC40 made?

For those in the USA and European markets, the Volvo XC40 is made in Belgium at Volvo Cars manufacturing plant in Ghent.
The Ghent plant is the original production facility for the XC40 and has produced this model since its release in 2017. It is also one of the busiest Volvo plants in the world, producing the largest volume of cars per year for Volvo.
There is also a Luqiao plant in China (located in the Zhejiang province, close to the harbors of Shanghai) that serves the Chinese market and exports to countries in South and Central America and Oceania. This plant began producing XC40s in 2019 due to growing demand for the vehicle.
