Where is the OBD port location in a 2008 Honda Fit?

I have an OBD-II scanner, and I’ve used it for my other cars but never for my Honda. It’s having some trouble, though, so I want to check it out, but I’m having a hard time finding the port. Where is the OBD port located in a 2008 Honda Fit?

OBD ports can be notoriously tricky to find, but it can help to open the driver’s side door and squat down. The OBD port on your
Honda Fit
is located underneath the steering column just above the gas pedal. A plastic door does not cover it, so you’ll immediately see the port.
To run diagnostics on your
Honda
, plug in your Onboard Diagnostics II (OBD-II) scanner and switch it on. To power the scanner, you’ll have to turn on your car’s ignition, but don’t run the engine. Press Scan and let the tool get to work!
Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) will appear on the device’s screen. Read through the OBD codes to see what’s going on with your Honda Fit.
Diagnostic codes can vary by scanner, so if you’re not sure what a code means, refer to the tool’s manual. Searching the codes online can also give you more specialized answers. You can also head to a mechanic or Honda service center and tell them what codes you’re getting. They’ll be able to pinpoint issues and offer
repairs
.
