Where is the OBD port located on a Honda Fit?

My daughter’s having some trouble with her Honda Fit. Now, I like to fashion myself as a jack of all trades (I’m a registered machinist and a master woodworker—I also make a mean souffle), and I have an OBD scan tool lying around somewhere. Where is the OBD port located on a Honda Fit?

On a Honda Fit, you’ll find the OBD port in a small nook under the dash on the driver’s side, close to the right side of the steering wheel and just above the gas pedal.
Once you have your daughter’s Honda in your possession, open the driver’s side door and take a peek under the steering wheel, closer to the middle console. In a small nook, you’ll see the OBD port, or on-board diagnostic port. From there, you can plug your scan tool in so you can read the OBD codes.
Once you do this, you’ll hopefully get a read on the issues with your daughter’s Honda Fit, as the OBD scan tool will give you a good look into the Fit’s onboard computer system.
