Where is the Jeep Grand Wagoneer made?
My neighbor just bought a new Wagoneer, and he’s talking all this smack about being a great American for buying a domestically-made SUV. He even said my Porsche Cayenne is a slap in the face to American workers. While I’d love to sue him for libel, I’ll have to settle for one-upping him. Is the Jeep *Grand* Wagoneer really all-American? Where is it made?

, save for a few optional components.Here’s the thing about the Grand Wagoneer, and the Wagoneer—as they are seen as a premium extension of the Jeep brand, they are both marketed without the Jeep name or any Jeep badging, to be set apart from the classic brand.
The Grand Wagoneer is built at the Warren Truck Assembly Plant in
Warren, Michigan
, which is near Detroit. The Warren Truck Plant has been around since 1940 and has been producing Dodge vehicles ever since. Now, since you wouldn’t ever want to sully your own image in front of you neighbor, don’t tell him the Warren Plant used be known as Dodge City, lest the sneering and smirking run completely out of control.Production of the Grand Wagoneer began in 2021 at the plant after a $1 billion investment by parent company Stellantis, to retrofit the plant to accommodate the Grand Wagoneer and Wagoneer production.
