The 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee battery location is under the passenger seat. You’ll need to move the passenger seat forward and in the upright position to access the battery.

jump-start your dead battery back to life
, there are remote battery terminals under the hood of your Jeep Grand Cherokee on the passenger side. If you need to get or give a jump, here are the steps to do a successful jumpstart:
- Step 1: Connect the red cable to the positive terminals on both cars, starting with the dead car. Remember to remove the red plastic cap before you attach it to your Jeep’s positive terminal.
- Step 2: Once both red cables are connected, connect one end of the black cable to the negative terminal on the functional car and then the other end to the negative terminal on the dead car.
- Step 3: Rev the donor car’s engine a few times, allowing the other car’s battery to charge for several minutes, then have the other driver try to start their car.
Once the other vehicle is running, you can remove the jumper cables and close the hoods.
