Where is the gas button on a Chevy Malibu?

My husband just brought our 2022 Chevy Malibu home, and I need to go fill it up with gas—where is the gas button to release the fuel door?

The gas button on a 2022 Chevy Malibu is on the fuel door.
Although older models may have had a gas button, new models of the Malibu don’t have any buttons, latches, or notched fuel doors. Instead, the fuel door sits flush with the rest of the car’s exterior and needs to be pressed to release it. Once the door pops open, you can unscrew the fuel cap, and you’re good to fill it up!
