Where is the battery in a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro?

My 2010 Chevy Camaro is having some electrical issues. I wanted to check the battery terminals for corrosion or a bad connection, but when I checked under the hood I couldn’t find anything that looked like a battery! Is the battery located somewhere else on a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro?

The Chevrolet Camaro’s battery isn’t actually under the hood – it’s in the trunk! More specifically, the 2010 model’s battery is underneath the spare tire in the trunk. You’ll have to pull up the trunk carpet and move the spare tire to access it.
Car manufacturers started moving the battery out from under the hood for several reasons including freeing up space in the engine compartment, protecting the battery from high engine heat, and evening out the weight of the vehicle for better performance.
You can check your battery terminals for corrosion and clean them, but if that doesn’t fix your electrical issues you may want to take your Camaro to a mechanic to have the issue properly diagnosed. And while you’re getting your battery checked, you can check your
