Where is the 2020 Ram 1500’s OBD port location?
The check engine light came on in my new-ish truck today. I have an OBD reader, so I can find out what the deal is without paying a diagnostic fee, but I need to know where to plug it in. Can you tell me where the OBD port is on a 2020 Ram 1500?

Oh no! We’re sorry to hear you’re having issues with your trusty truck, but we’re happy to help you find out what’s causing them. The onboard diagnostics (OBD) port on the 2020 Dodge Ram 1500 is located under the dashboard directly beneath the steering wheel.
That check engine warning light can signal serious issues but it could also indicate something as simple to fix as a loose gas cap. Even if it is something more serious though, you should see if your Ram is still covered under warranty, as you might be able to avoid the expense of costly car repairs.
Even if your Ram isn’t under warranty, it’s best to take our truck to a mechanic sooner rather than later if you find a fairly serious issue. After all, you don’t want to let more serious problems develop by waiting too long! Something that may cost a few hundred dollars to fix today, could wind up costing you thousands if you leave it unchecked.
