No problem! The battery location in the 2016 Chevy Equinox can be a bit tricky to find. As with most models, it’s located under the hood—but it’s bolted beneath a metal plate.
You’ll need to remove the metal plate, but be careful when you do—there’s a computer unit welded to the top. There are four 10mm bolts that you’ll need to remove. Once the metal plate is off, the battery will be easy to reach.
