Where is the 2014 Ford Escape OBD port location?

Where is the 2014 Ford Escape OBD port location? I just got myself an OBD2 scanner, but I have no idea where this thing plugs into my car.

An OBD-II scanner can be a great investment that can end up helping you save on repair costs. Of course, you have to know where to plug it in to benefit from it. You should be able to find the 2014
Ford Escape’s
OBD port location on the lower right-side portion of your dashboard.
OBD port locations are most commonly found on the steering wheel’s right or left on the dashboard’s lower portion. Sometimes they can also be found on the driver’s side of the center console. Some OBD ports have covers to keep out debris, making them hard to spot.
On-board diagnostic (OBD) scanners plug into your vehicle’s OBD port and display error codes for problems detected by the vehicle’s computer. If the error code traces back to a problem you can fix yourself, you just save time and money. Other times, it can confirm you need to bring your vehicle to a mechanic for repair, which can help you address problems early on before they become more serious.
If you’re having trouble finding your 2014
Ford
Escape’s OBD port location, you could ask a mechanic to show it to you the next time you bring it in for
service
.
While you stay on top of your Ford Focus’s maintenance, remember to give your
car insurance
policy another once-over to make sure it has all the right protections.
