Where is the 2012 Honda Civic’s OBD port location?

The check engine light in my 2012 Honda Civic just came on. My dad has an OBD scanner, but I can’t find the port to plug it in. Can you tell me where it is in the Civic?

Of course! The onboard diagnostics (OBD) port on the 2012
Honda Civic
is located in the passenger compartment fuse box. You’ll find this to the left of the steering wheel, under the dashboard.
Having your
check engine warning light
flash on is enough to make anyone’s heart skip a beat. Thankfully, it’s not always an indication that you’ve got expensive
car repairs
in your future.
Some of the most common reasons your check engine light may be on include:
  • A loose gas cap
  • Problems with one or more sensors
  • Bad
    spark plugs
    and/or wires
  • Bad (or missing) catalytic converter
