Where is Polestar from?

I like cars as much as the next person, but Polestar has taken me by surprise. It seems like almost overnight they’ve become a big deal! When and where was the company established?

You’re right—things are happening quickly! Polestar is from Sweden and was established in 1996 by Volvo Cars’ partner Flash/Polestar Racing.
By 2015, Volvo (which was acquired by Geely in 2010) acquired Polestar, and the rest is history! If you’re curious as to where exactly Polestar is now headquartered, the answer is in Torslanda, Sweden, which is roughly 12 miles west of Gothenburg.
Now, if you’re asking where Polestar manufactures vehicles, they’ve assembled cars in China and are now focusing on production in the U.S. at the Volvo plant in
South Carolina
