Where is McLaren Racing based?
I’m taking the family on a holiday to England, and I’m hoping to pay a visit to McLaren Racing, though I’d like us to just “happen” upon it. This way I can be like “well, we’re here, so we might as well take a look inside, right?” My spouse thinks I’m a bit too obsessed with Formula 1, so I’d like this to look purely coincidental. I’m sure it will work. Anyways, where is McLaren Racing based?

McLaren Racing is based at the McLaren Technology Center in Woking, Surrey, England, and sits about 22 miles southwest of London.
This sleek, 840,000 square foot facility sits on a placid parcel of land in northwest Surrey. The Technology Center was initiated in 1998 and was designed by acclaimed architect Norman Foster. The facility was recently sold to a U.S.-based real estate company for nearly $240 million, though McLaren will continue to lease it. According to Autoweek, McLaren Racing chief executive Zak Brown said McLaren sold its headquarters in order to invest more heavily into its racing and automotive divisions.
While we here at Jerry are all for “happening” upon the McLaren Technology Center, do know that in-person visits are currently restricted to Partners and McLaren Plus members only, and public tours aren’t offered at the moment. So you, your spouse, and the kids will have to be McLaren Plus members if you have any hope of getting inside. Perhaps you can “happen” upon a few memberships before crossing the pond and landing in merry ‘ol England? Here’s hoping!
