Where is Lexus made in Japan?
I know that Lexus is a Japanese car, but I can’t find any Lexus plants listed in Japan. Where in Japan is Lexus made?

. Three of these plants are situated in Aichi Prefecture on the country’s main island of Honshu. The remaining two are found in the city of Fukuoka on Japan’s southernmost island of Kyushu.Lexus vehicles are assembled at Toyota plants because Lexus is the luxury division of the Toyota Motor Corporation—the largest automotive company in the world. The first Lexus vehicle—the Lexus LS—was launched in 1989. Initially, all Lexus brand vehicles were made for the international market, while the same vehicles were badged with a Toyota logo for the Japanese market.
You can tell what country your Lexus was manufactured in by looking at your car’s vehicle identification number, or VIN. The first character in this 17-digit code indicates what country your car was built in. VINs starting with a 1, 4, or 5 were built in the United States. Those beginning with a 2 were built in Canada, and those beginning with a J were assembled in Japan.
Just because they are made by a Japanese carmaker doesn’t mean that Lexus vehicles are any more difficult to insure than American makes. However, luxury vehicle brands like Lexus, Infiniti, or BMW do tend to be more expensive to insure due to their use of premium materials and components.
