So glad you love your Land Rover! Land Rovers are made primarily in England, but there are also manufacturing plants in Slovakia, Brazil, China, and India.
Let’s dig into that.
  • The first Land Rover was built in 1947 on a Jeep’s axle and chassis.
  • Land Rover was acquired by BMW in 1994, sold to Ford in 2000, and acquired by Tata Motors (based in Mumbai, India) in 2008.
The current Land Rover manufacturing plants and their locations are:
  • Solihull Plant, U.K.
  • Halewood Plant, U.K.
  • Nitra Plant, Slovakia
  • Itatiatia Plant, Brazil
  • Changshu Plant, China
  • Pune Plant, India
