Where is a 2008 Prius’s battery location?

My radio has been flickering in and out lately, and someone told me that I should check the battery. I opened the hood, but I couldn’t find it there! Where is a 2008 Prius’s battery location?

That’s the secret: the 2008 Prius’s battery location isn’t under the hood! To access your battery, you’ll actually need to remove the floor panel of your trunk. The battery will be on the passenger (right-hand) side.
From there, you should be able to take a peek and see what’s going on with your battery. For the symptoms you described, we’d suggest you grab a flashlight and check for visible signs of corrosion.
But, if you see—or even suspect—that there’s extensive damage, it may be time to take your Prius to a mechanic. To alleviate the cost of all those mechanic bills, download
