Where do I find the Nissan Rogue’s OBD port location?

Progressive just sent me a “Snapshot” device to plug into my car, but I can’t find the OBD thing. Could you tell me where I could find the Nissan Rogue OBD port location? Is it under the hood somewhere?

Your
Nissan Rogue’s
OBD port is located beneath the steering wheel and above the brake pedal, on the underside of the dash trim and pointing downward. It’s a small black rectangle with sixteen tiny rectangular plug holes, eight on one side and eight on the other. That’s the OBD port.
The OBD port is useful for telematics, like
Progressive Snapshot
and
Allstate Drivewise
, but your mechanic also uses it to diagnose problems with the car using a device known as an OBD-II scanner. And that’s a great little machine to have around if you ever run into the dreaded engine light.
The OBD-II scanner simply plugs right into your Nissan Rogue’s OBD port, and if there’s a check engine light showing, you’ll see a code you can type into your search engine of choice and find more information. It can save you some money taking your car to a mechanic or a Nissan dealership—they’ll use this same device, but charge you for it.
OBD-II scanners are available at any auto parts store or on Amazon. You may want to read our guides on
