It certainly doesn’t get much more rugged than a classic Land Rover! Land Rover originated in Warwickshire, England in 1885 as a bicycle manufacturer. Back then, it was known as the Rover Company.
Through the years it’s gone through many changes, and in 1948 it became Land Rover. From its inception, the automaker produced utilitarian and highly capable four-wheel drive off road vehicles. While today’s Land Rovers are still fiercely capable off road, they are far more luxurious than their ancestors.
