Where can you go camping in Texas?

I’ve been recently getting into camping after a really fun trip on the West Coast. Now that I’m back home in Texas, I’d like to explore campsites in my neck of the woods but have no clue where to even start. That’s why I’m wondering, where can you go camping in Texas?

I think you’re going to love all of these options! You can go camping in
Texas
at one of the many state parks or even on the beach of the Gulf Coast.
The options are many when it comes to how you want to camp in Texas—maybe you want to rough it amongst ancient limestone rock formations in Big Bend National Park, the largest national park in Texas and one of the most popular.
Or perhaps you’d rather be near the water, kayaking or tubing at Guadalupe River State Park, which has an awesome campsite.
Other swoon-worthy options for camping in Texas include:
  • Enchanted Rock State Natural Area
  • Caprock Canyons State Park
  • Colorado Bend State Park
  • Garner State Park
  • Padre Island National Seashore
But wait! Before you pack your car full of camping gear, be sure you’re also packing the right
