Where can I practice driving in Las Vegas?

I live in Las Vegas. Although I already got my license, I’m a bit leery of driving in heavy Las Vegas traffic. Is there somewhere in Las Vegas that I can practice driving?

Driving in Las Vegas, or in
Nevada
in general, is tough due to traffic and weather. If you’re looking to hone your skills, there are a surprising amount of places to drive in the Las Vegas area:
  • The IKEA parking lot after the store closes at 6500 IKEA Way
  • Parking lots at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) if there are no sporting events
  • Driving schools around the Las Vegas area
Driving around any of these areas should give you the experience you need to become a better driver. But even if you have your license, don’t feel like driving school or classes are beneath you. It not only makes you a better driver, but it also can result in discounts on your auto insurance.
Once you feel comfortable driving, the Las Vegas Strip should feel like you’re on cruise control! But if you’re willing to take a smart gamble, explore car insurance rates with the
Jerry
app.
As a licensed broker, Jerry helps you find and compare quotes from over 50 top providers in minutes. When you find a better rate, Jerry can help you buy your new coverage and even cancel your old policy!
