Where can I get car insurance if I don't have a license but am attending driving school?
I'm in the process of getting a driver's license and finishing up driving school. My mom won't let me use her car to drive; she says she'll teach me once I have enough money to buy my own car. Can I get car insurance if I'm not licensed?

“If you have a learner’s permit and you’re attending driving school, you may be able to find car insurance. But there are some caveats here.
First, you’ll usually need to get your license within a short period of time—typically 30 to 45 days—to start a policy with most carriers. Second, your carrier might require you to start the policy with a driver who has a valid license, which might be your mom in this case.
Also, if you’re under 18, most carriers will require you to have a parent or guardian sign on the insurance policy with you. “

Do I have to switch my car insurance to a new state if I'm in the military and get stationed in a different state?
I was living in New Jersey, but the military recently sent me orders to report to a base in North Carolina. I know that you're usually supposed to switch car insurance to the state that you reside in. Do I have to do this as an active member of the military?

How can I tell if a repair shop recommended by my insurer is gouging me for accident repairs?
I recently got in a single-car accident. Most of the damage looks cosmetic, but the insurance company's preferred auto body shop gave me an estimate for $7,500. My deductible is $2,000, and I think the damage is far less than that. How can I tell if a repair shop is gouging me?
