Where can I buy a Tesla electric car?

I want to finally make the switch to an electric car, but I don’t know where to start. Where can I go to test drive, learn more about, and buy a Tesla?

Great question!
Tesla
 is unique in the automotive world for its direct-to-consumer business model, but depending on where you live, this can make buying one a little tricky.
Because of strict dealership laws, Tesla can only sell cars in the 30 states that either allow direct-to-consumer car sales or make an exemption for Tesla.
There are a few workarounds for this, however. If you happen to live in a state that doesn’t allow Tesla sales, you can either buy your car in another state or order it online and have it delivered to a store near you.
