Volvo Buses is a subsidiary of vehicle maker Volvo and became an independent division in 1968. The company is headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden, but the bus operation has a global presence. Volvo buses are made in Europe, North and South America, Asia, and Australia.
Volvo was founded in Sweden in 1927 and the first Volvo Bus was built in 1928. The company started with a vision of safe and efficient transportation for everyone. Today, Volvo is a partner to the bus and coach business in more than 85 countries.
