Where are Toyota 4Runners made?

My very first car was a Toyota 4Runner. Now that I’m almost 40, I’m feeling a bit nostalgic, and I’m thinking about buying one again. However, I’ve made a mission to only buy American-made products or ones that employ American workers. Where does Toyota make the 4Runner?

If you want to buy the Toyota 4Runner, know that it’s not—nor has it ever been—American-made. Toyota 4Runners are made in Japan at Toyota’s plant in Tahara, Aichi, or at the Hino Motors Plant (a Toyota subsidiary) in Hamura.
But even if it’s not American-made, the Toyota 4Runner still offers the complete package. Equipped with a 270-horsepower 4.0-liter V-6, plenty of off-road precision, and a great infotainment system, it’s a solid choice in the midsize SUV realm.
Before you hop into your 4Runner and celebrate a bit of nostalgia, make sure that your
