Where are the Ford Focus’ jack points?

I’m trying to do some work on my Ford Focus that requires it to be raised a bit. I have the jacks that I need, but I'm not sure where to position them. Where are the jack points for a Ford Focus?

Great question! There does seem to be a lot of confusion going around as to where the acceptable jack points are on a
Ford Focus
.
The correct jack locations are clearly indicated by arrows on the plastic trim of the car. Keep an eye out for them and you shouldn’t have any trouble putting the jacks in the right locations.
Here’s what you’ll end up doing:
  • Place the front jack right on the pinch weld of the subframe, as indicated by the arrow
  • Place the front jack stands in the same place on either side directly under the lower control arms of the pivot bracket
  • Place the rear jack on the pinch weld; again, this will be indicated by an arrow
  • Place two rear jack stands directly beside each other in the middle of the rear right under the subassembly cross-member
And that’s it! Using those locations, you should be able to safely jack up your
Ford
without any trouble. It’s always a good idea to keep an extra jack positioned somewhere sturdy under that car just in case one of the jacks fails.
