Where are Rivian cars made?
I've been a huge fan of electric vehicles ever since I bought a Chevy Volt a few years back, but I’m looking to upgrade to something a bit nicer. Rivian is on my radar, but I want to make sure that it makes its cars in America. Where does Rivian manufacture its cars?

If you want an American-made vehicle, Rivian should do the trick. Rivian makes both of its cars, the R1S and the R1T, at a factory in Normal, Illinois.
In 2017, Rivian acquired the plant from Mitsubishi Motors for just $16 million. To sweeten the deal, Rivian received a $1 million grant and the City of Normal provided a five-year tax abatement, provided that Rivian maintained a certain number of employees and invested $40.5 million in the factory over the next five years.
