Where are Lexus cars made?
We live in Kentucky and there’s a Lexus assembly plant here, but it only makes one model. I was wondering where the rest of the Lexus lineup comes from. Where are Lexus cars made?

Most Lexus models are actually made in Japan, where four of the company’s six assembly plants can be found.
The EX is assembled in
Lexington, Kentucky
, but there’s also a plant that assembles the RX and RX hybrid in in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. Besides those models, all other Lexus cars are made in Japan. If you’re wondering where exactly in Japan these cars are put together, here’s a rundown:
- Yoshiwara, Japan: Lexus LX
- Motomachi, Japan: Lexus GS, GS F, LC, and LC Hybrid
- Tahara, Japan: Lexus GX, IS, RC, RC F, LS, and LS Hybrid
