Where are Jaguar cars made?
I’m babysitting my six year old niece and her younger brother and we’re watching a nature documentary on big cats. Out of nowhere my niece asks “Where are Jaguars made”? After a moment of excruciating silence and panic, I blurted out “—the jungle!” My niece then rolled her eyes and held up her dad’s copy of **Road & Track** and informed me that no, she was asking about the **car**. Jerry, where are Jaguar cars made?

Jaguar’s principal engine manufacturing facility is located in Wolverhampton, West Midlands. Jaguar also has an engine manufacturing plant in Changshu, China.
In 2016, Jaguar opened its Special Vehicle Operations Development Center, which develops and specializes in the brand’s most luxurious and powerful models. The 215,000 square foot facility is home to more than 200 automotive technicians, with 40 engineering inspection bays and a world-renowned paint facility.
The majority of the research and development on Jaguar vehicles is done at the carmaker’s facilities in Whitley, Coventry, and Warwickshire, Gaydon. Jaguar’s headquarters are located in Coventry, as well.
Hopefully all this answers your niece’s question. Now, if she asks how Jaguars are made (the cats, specifically), you’re on your own.
