I drive a Hyundai Elantra and I absolutely love it—it’s lasted me so many miles! I’m convinced the engine is made of pure magic. Where was it built?

It’s so exciting when you find the perfect car for you! It’s no wonder you want to learn everything you can about it. Hyundai engines are made all over the world in various different manufacturing plants.
For instance, the 2018 Santa Fe Sport CUV and 2018 Sonata and Elantra sedans are made in a manufacturing plant in Montgomery, Alabama; some engines and models are manufactured in South Korea, where Hyundai is headquartered; and some engines are made in manufacturing plants in Europe.
It really all depends on which model and year you’re looking at. If you ask your local Hyundai dealer, they’re sure to have the answer for the exact car you’re looking into!
