Where are GMC SUVs made?

I want to buy a new SUV, and I’m fairly certain that one of the three GMC options is the right choice for me. However, my husband is a union rep, and he’s not allowed to drive any car built outside of the U.S. Where does GMC make its SUVs?

GMC has a long history of producing some of the best SUVs on the market, so if you’re looking for reliability and quality, you’re in the right place. Moreover, two out of three GMC SUVs are made in the United States. Here is a quick look at where each model is produced:
  • GMC Acadia: Lansing Delta Township Assembly Plant in Delta Township, Michigan
  • GMC Terrain: CAMI Assembly Plant in Ingersoll, Ontario, Canada
  • GMC Yukon: Arlington Assembly Plant in Arlington, Texas
Even though the Terrain is built in Canada, keep in mind that it’s held to the same quality standards as any model produced in the United States. But if you want to go authentically American, the
Acadia
and
Yukon
are your only options.
