Where are electric car batteries located?

I like cars and I was doing a bit of research on EVs but the configuration is different from a combustion engine vehicle. Where is the battery located on an electric car?

Great question! This is one we get a lot. EVs are manufactured differently than combustion engine cars, instead of the power source in the front end of the vehicle, the electric car battery is located at the bottom center of the car.
Some manufacturers consider this design to be like a skateboard where the frame sits on top of the wheels, motors, and battery pack. The battery is extremely heavy so engineers figured this is the best way to distribute the weight throughout the car and avoid making it front or back heavy.
Some manufacturers are looking into placing the battery vertically in between the front and back seats to improve the aerodynamics and increase the overall range.
