Where are Chevys made?
I’m looking to get a Chevrolet so I’m doing my research. I heard that getting a car made in the U.S. would be faster so I was wondering where Chevys are made.

Chevys are made in several cities in the U.S. depending on the type of vehicle, model, trim, and drivetrain configuration. Even if a Chevy is assembled in the U.S., however, some of its parts may be imported.
Below are the models you’ll find at the different production facilities in America:
- Bowling Green, KY – Chevrolet Corvette
- Lansing, MI – Chevrolet Camaro, Chevrolet Traverse
- Wentzville, MO – Chevrolet Colorado
- Arlington, TX – Chevrolet Suburban, Chevrolet Tahoe
- Lake Orion, MI – Chevrolet Sonic, Chevrolet Bolt EV
- Kansas City, KS – Chevrolet Malibu
- Roanoke, IN – Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Unfortunately, imported parts and manufacturing shutdowns mean that buying a U.S.-made car doesn’t guarantee that you’ll get your car sooner. On the other hand, buying an American car does have its merits.
Since American-made cars are more likely to use locally manufactured parts, it’s easier to source parts for repairs and replacements for car brands like Chevy and Ford.
