Where are Australian Teslas made?
Are Australian Teslas made in America and shipped overseas, or is there a Tesla manufacturing plant in Australia somewhere? Just curious about how shipping a Tesla might affect the final price.

A great question—especially if you’re thinking of picking up a Tesla! In October 2022, a
Tesla
factory will open in Australia. This manufacturing plant, called Renaissance One, will produce Teslas for Australia and surrounding countries, too—the factory will also use Australian materials in the vehicles, making production slightly more sustainable.Prior to the opening of this factory, Australian Teslas came from many places, namely California, Nevada, and New York. You’re right that shipping a vehicle can cause higher car purchase costs, so the new Australian factory might lower Tesla prices slightly.
