When will I have to buy an electric car?

I know the day is coming when I’ll have to get an EV, but I’m not ready. Can you tell me when I’ll have to buy an electric car?

An electrified future is definitely on its way. Whether or not you’ll have to toss your gas-powered vehicle for a fully electric car depends mostly on where you live.
For example: The
Washington
State government plans to end all new sales of gas-powered vehicles by 2030. Meanwhile, California has proposed to require all new cars to be fully electric by 2035.
There are currently no decisions about what happens to the existing gas-powered vehicle. It’s assumed they’ll eventually be grandfathered out as the auto industry changes to support electric cars.
Until then, you’ll need to keep your car insured to drive on US roads. Jerry can help see to ensure that you’re covered and that you save a few extra dollars.
