When should I change my Mazda 3 windshield wipers?
I’ve had my car for a while now, but it still has the same wipers that it did on the day I bought it. How do I know when it’s time to change my Mazda 3 windshield wipers?
Answer provided by
I don’t know when you purchased your vehicle, but I’d guess it’s long overdue for new windshield wipers! According to the manufacturer, you should change your Mazda 3 windshield wipers at least once every 12 months.
That being said, there are some clear signs when it’s time to switch them out:
- The rubber is cracked, split, or broken
- They make a chattering sound as they drag across the glass
- There are streaks or trails on your windshield
- Parts of the wipers don’t touch the windshield
- The metal frames are bent
If you notice any of the above signs or it’s been 12 months since your last change, it’s time to replace your wiper blades!
When you do your annual wiper change every twelve months, take some time to also review your car insurance to see if that needs replacing. Rates can change often, so it’s important to make sure you’re still getting the best price possible.
