is a huge tourist destination with endless options for exploring—but the Windy City is notorious for brutal winter temps. To see the city in all of its glory, the best time to visit Chicago is in the late spring and early fall. In general, April through May and September through October will give you the best chance for comfortable weather. These timeframes also coincide with peak festival season in Chicago, so you’ll have plenty of activities to choose from when you go.
The summer months are popular times to visit as well, but there will be more crowds and humidity to deal with.
