There is no official
2023 BMW
8 Series release date, but the production started in March 2022. You can currently build your own 2023 8 Series on the BMW website.If your current car can tide you over until the new BMW 8 Series is released, you’ll want to hold out until then—the upcoming 2023 BMW will be completely redesigned from the current generation with many upgrades.
Below are some new features we look forward to:

- An all-new platform with a longitudinal engine layout and rear-wheel drive
- Standard turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that offers 275 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque
- Rumored to offer Skyactiv-X inline-six engine with a 48-volt hybrid system that produces 350 horsepower
- Standard Adaptive M Suspension that monitors the data from your live acceleration, speed, and steering wheel position to adjust the damper stiffness
