When driving in rain, when does the road become the most slippery?

I forgot to write the answer to this question down for my driving class, and I don’t know where to look. When is rain most dangerous to drive in?

When driving in rain, the road becomes the most slippery within the first 10 to 15 minutes of the rainstorm. This is because the oil on the asphalt comes up to the surface, creating a slick layer on top of the water on the road.
After the first 10 to 15 minutes, the rain will wash away the oil. You should still watch out for slick spots and drive carefully, though—especially
if it’s cold outside
. Your car could lose traction at any time, so remain alert.
For ultimate peace of mind, make sure you have great car insurance—without overpaying for it.
