“Your
car insurance
shouldn’t be affected by an excessive amount of parking tickets. However, if you choose to ignore the tickets or don’t pay them on time, you risk more serious consequences.
If tickets are left unpaid, you not only face additional fines, but you may have to go to court. If you don’t show up or continue to ignore the fines, you could get additional tickets. Those tickets can be reported to the DMV and show up on your driving record.
When they do, your car insurance company can see this. If they are rerating your policy at renewal, you could see an increase in your insurance. If you don’t want to see an increase in rates, pay for your tickets on time. Not only will you save money, but you’ll avoid any future issues.
Avoiding parking tickets is a great way to save money, but don’t overlook your car insurance in the same regard. Use the
Jerry
app to compare car insurance quotes and always park in the correct space to put more money in your pocket.”
