When did Fiat buy Dodge?
I’ve been considering buying a Dodge and doing some research, but I had no idea that Fiat purchased the company! When did that happen?

Dodge is currently part of the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) umbrella, which became a subsidiary of multinational automotive conglomerate Stellantis in 2021. Fiat didn’t directly buy Dodge but fell under Chrysler LLC, which was merged with Fiat to produce Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FAC) in 2014..
Dodge was sold to Chrysler Corporation in 1928, which then merged with Daimler-Benz in 1998 to form DaimlerChrysler. In 2021, there was a merger between Fiat Chrysler Automobile (FCA) and the Peugeot Société Anonyme (PSA) Group, which made Stellantis the owner of Dodge as well.
Currently, Stalltantis is the sixth-largest automaker globally, only behind Volkswagen, Toyota, Renault–Nissan–Mitsubishi, GM, and Hyundai. In Europe, it’s the second largest automaker, only after Volkswagen.
