I own a used Ford Taurus SEL. I always joke to my friends about how I’ve pushed this car to the brink—but honestly, I’m wondering what it would take to truly push it to its limits. What is the Taurus SEL’s top speed?

Taurus was the best-selling car in the U.S. for many years. The 2018 Ford Taurus SEL
has a top speed of 150 mph. Theoretically, without a governor, the 3.5L V6 SEL AWD also can go from 0 to 60 mph in 6.7 seconds. Of course, 2018 is one of the last years for the Ford Taurus before the model retired in 2019. If you look at the specs on earlier generations, this speed will go way down. The 2014 Taurus tops out at an estimated 113 mph.
